Solar Industry Statement on Southeast Energy Exchange Market Proposal

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today a group of utilities and energy companies operating in the Southeast advanced a filing that would create the Southeast Energy Exchange Market (SEEM). Solar Industry Call to Action: Forced Labor Has No Place In the Solar Supply Chain

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today on International Human Rights Day, the solar industry is launching a proactive campaign to ensure the solar supply chain does not include abhorrent forced labor practices. Solar Industry Secures Win in Ameren Effort to Block Net Metering in Illinois

CHICAGO and WASHINGTON, D.C. — Over the past few months the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) worked alongside a coalition of solar and environmental groups to argue against Ameren’s attempt to end net metering in Southern and Central Illinois. Yesterday the Illinois Commerce Commission sided with the solar industry and effectively saved net metering for thousands of current and future solar customers in Illinois.

Arkansas Group Joins National Solar Trade Association, Strengthening Solar Advocacy in the Southeast

WASHINGTON, D.C. and LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the national trade association for the U.S. solar energy industry, announced today that the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association (AAEA) is now an official SEIA state affiliate. Report: U.S. Corporate Solar Investments Swell to 8300 Megawatts, Grow 20-Fold Over Last Decade

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tech giants, major retailers and other corporate leaders are making significant investments in clean energy and installed over 1,280 megawatts (MW) of new commercial solar capacity in the United States in 2019, the second largest year on record according to the latest Solar Means Business report. The annual report, released today by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), tracks both on-site and off-site installations and highlights the strong appeal of cost-saving solar energy for American businesses.
